The Most Uncomfortable Moments At Celeb Funerals

According to CBS News, Whitney Houston tragically died after drowning in her bathtub while under the influence of several drugs in February 2012. As if her family didn't suffer enough, when Houston was laid to rest later that month, someone sold a photo of her deceased body in her open casket at her funeral to The National Enquirer. The publisher of the tabloid, Mary Beth Wright, told Fox News at the time that she believed the photo was "beautiful," but refused to reveal who'd taken the photo.

When speculation that an employee of Whigham Funeral Home in Newark, N.J., where Houston's funeral was held, a spokeswoman told E! News, "We have no comment — but it was not the funeral home. [The media] are getting me in the middle. I am very angry, very upset, just like the family, just like the fans ... We don't like it because it implicates us. Whitney was a personal friend to me and my family. We would not do that."

Sources told TMZ that the family, especially Houston's mother Cissy, were heartbroken over the photo, but didn't want to investigate the snapper further.
