Pretty Little Liars: Mary Drake Confesses We Should Be Deeply Worried for All the Lia

There’s a new villain in Rosewood, and she looks awfully familiar.

Mary Drake (Andrea Parker) was revealed to be the identical twin of Mrs. DiLaurentis on “Pretty Little Liars” Season 6B finale — and there’s a major twist. Not only is Mrs. D’s twin Charles/Charlotte’s (Vanessa Ray) birth mother, but she’s also been teaming up with the husband of Alison (Sasha Pieterse), Dr. Elliot Rollins (Huw Colliins), who is clearly not who he seems to be.

“We know that Elliot loved Charlotte deeply and obviously would do anything for her, including marrying her cousin Alison under the guise of actually loving her,” Parker tells Variety. “It’s obvious that he is up to something and that he is working with Mary — and perhaps A.D. who is now Uber A, but I’m not sure how much I can tell you about what their motives are.”

Forget about semantics — it’s clear that Mary’s and Elliot’s motives are bad. Really bad, according to Parker, who teases, “I think we should be deeply worried for all of the liars, particularly Hanna.”

So does that mean Mary and Elliot were behind the possible death of Hanna (Ashley Benson) in the last moments of the finale, which saw an unconscious Hanna being dragged across the floor? “I hope so,” Parker says with a laugh, adding that she does know who was dragging Hanna in that scene. “I know more than I should,” she says. “It’s both a blessing and a burden.”

Parker even knows the true identity of A.D., the new Uber A. “I do know,” she teases, without revealing who that person is. So, could A.D. be Mary Drake? “Sure,” Parker coyly suggests.

One thing Parker’s character Mary Drake does not know is who killed Charlotte. “I think she is in the process of trying to find that out. And I assume she is going to make them pay,” Parker says. “I know she’s not happy and she’s not very nice.”

Season 7 will also reveal the full backstory behind Mary Drake and Charlotte. While viewers know that she’s her birth mother, it remains to be seen just how close the mother-daughter duo was or if Charlotte was in on this new plan. “I’m hoping that we will find that out in Season 7,” she says. “I’m assuming that they were close. I honestly don’t know that detail. There are certain specifics that Marlene [King] and Oliver [Goldstick] keep from everyone.”

In fact, the actress didn’t even know about the twin storyline, while she was playing Mrs. D for the past five seasons.

“I hadn’t known about Mary Drake but for the last six months, but at the wrap party for Season 5, Marlene puled me aside to let me know that there would be a ton of mystery around the DiLaurentis family so I was more so just expecting to recur in flashbacks as Mrs. DiLaurentis. I didn’t know that I was actually coming back in this new character until we shot it last October,” Parker, who was just promoted to a series regular for Season 7, explains. “I’m excited just to remain on the show, but to be back in real time with more secrets and more darkness, it’s a gift.”
